Yates Mechanical Engineering
Energy Efficiency Integrated Effectively

What I Do
I design, manage and commission small to medium sized projects within the Healthcare, Energy and Food Sectors. With emphasis on energy efficiency, carbon reduction and resilient performance across the UK.
I work very closely with clients as an integral part of the team to ensure that any projects undertaken meet their requirements from concept, through budgeting to successful commissioning / bringing to work.
About Me
I am a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with 27 years experience within the NHS, energy management and food sectors. I am motivated and passionate in my delivery of Engineering projects and have a proven track record of initiatives that have produced significant positive business change.
Over the last 11 years I have been predominantly delivering EPC contracts to improve efficiency and reduce site operating costs through the integration of combined heat and power systems.
The world is changing though, with climate change being the largest challenge for us to face, moving us away from our dependence on fossil fuels to deliver primary heating & cooling systems from carbon friendly sources.

Testimonials

What you and I have contributed to the many projects we have delivered together has been considerable, you have to be a special type of person /engineer to carry out these works. Not many people can build a project in this way and make decisions by speaking to each other on a daily basis regarding design and installation – which I think has worked really well between us. Don’t get embarrassed but I would probably put you in the top 5 engineers that I have worked with – and I have worked with a lot of design guys and consultants etc – over the 51 years of my career.

Andy has always been a diligent, dedicated and professional Engineer who mentored me during my university industrial placement year. His breadth of knowledge and significant experience in energy management have inspired me to follow a similar career path. Now, as a Chartered Engineer in my own right, I look forward to working with him again in the future.
